Great idea and I hope to see this turned into a series of posts. Here are a few of mine...

+ It's pronounced "standing ovation" not "standing obation".
+ America and United States of America do not mean the same thing.
+ The symbol ! is called an "exclamation mark" not an "explanation mark".
